 | Inuyasha
Inuyasha, by Rumiko Takahashi, is such a wonderful show... As it is very new, there's only been one season so far. The art is beautiful and detailed, the plot is the sort of thing you find yourself fantasizing about weeks later, and the main character is interesting, to say the least. This anime is based on the manga by the same name that started in... 1997, I believe. It features schoolgirl Kagome and half-demon boy Inuyasha, and their exploits on the search for the shards of the powerful Shikon no Tama. Their journey is hampered, however, by the machinations of one Naraku, a youkai who is not a youkai, an incredibly powerful, mysterious being bent on Inuyasha's destruction. The anime is excellent, with beautiful art and a well-done story line. Inuyasha has been licensed by Viz, and the DVDs will be released after it starts airing on TV.
