Mmm... what do you get when you put an insane pervert with a major inferiority complex in a position of power? Well, in this case you get the Baron Febdash, a man of relatively little importance in the Abh empire who has a major influence on the story line. When Lafiel and Jinto stop at his colony for refueling, he takes it upon himself to kidnap the princess and hold her hostage to guarantee his own safety in the war. Needless to say, Lafiel is not pleased. The Baron's actions give Lafiel her first taste of real action, and she seizes the initiative quite effectively.
