I should start out by saying that I would never have gone to Anime Expo if CLAMP had not been the guests of honor. I pretty much went just to see and meet them. That said, the circumstances did not seem to be at all inclined to grant my wish. CLAMP only had one autograph session, and you had to win a raffle to get into it. Tickets were handed out at random to attendees of CLAMP's one single panel on Saturday, and we waited in line for six hours to get in. Sadly, I didn't win, and neither did any of my friends. But innate stubbornness, with a good dose of luck, conspired to get me and two of my friends into CLAMP's highly exclusive autograph line- they had a standby list that was not at all advertised, and we signed up as soon as we were told about it. We did get into CLAMP's autographing session, and we did get to talk to them. It was an experience I will remember forever, commemorated in this lovely preprinted shikishi signed and personalized by Ageha Ohkawa, Mokona, Satsuki Igarashi, and Tsubaki Nekoi. Glee!
